SMS-protection 1.0.2

Protects your data sent by text messages.

SMS messages can easily be intercepted. When this risk is present, the security of data becomes more important and here comes the role of SMS-protection, a mobile application that solves the problem of security through encryption with advanced and standardized algorithms.

SMS-protection is the economical solution, accessible to  everyone, for sending encrypted text messages.

The application protects  data privacy, by encrypting messages using AES standard. AES (Advanced  Encryption Standard) is an algorithm for encryption used (among others) by  American governmental organization NIST (National Institute of Standards and  Technologies), considered to be sure enough to encrypt and protect American  governmental information.

There are many advantages with using  SMS-protection:
-it is the economical solution for a safe protection,
-it works in every network, including roaming,
-it does not require  additional configuration.

How does the mobile application work?

When a new  message is written, the first step is to enter the encryption password. This  password must be known by the recipient too, in order to decrypt the message.  After the password is introduced the standard interface for sending messages  will appear. SMS messages are written in the standard Symbian editor and there  is no length limit for them (depending on each phone’s characteristics). The  message is saved in the encrypted form and it will display on the phone with  more signs, letters and figures than the original message. The encryption has  the role of transforming the transmitted data in intelligible information, only  for the recipient that has the decryption key. Not even the carrier can read the  information. The cost of sending an encrypted SMS is the same as sending a  normal message.

The encrypted messages are read inside the application.  The message is decrypted only after introducing the password, the one  communicated by the sender. It is possible to reply or delete the message  directly from the application.

For sending and receiving encrypted text  messages, the application must be purchased and installed on both phones for  encrypting / decrypting the information contained in the SMS.
