Did you know that there are many file names on your Mac that are not compatible with Windows computers or cloud services like Dropbox and Jungle Disk? Files with incompatible file names often won't copy or sync at all, and if they do they appear with the wrong file names on other computers.
If you accidentally create a file or folder on your Mac with an incompatible file name Filerr will show a red icon in the menu bar and an information box will appear on the screen. Then you can just choose to reveal the files in the Finder so you can manually change their file names.
When Filerr finds a file or folder with an incompatible name it can color tag it using the built-in Finder label system. You can choose what color to use, and Filerr will correctly restore any previous label color used by the file when the name is changed or if the file is moved outside a watched folder.
If you use a cloud service such as Dropbox or Jungle Disk you will love Filerr! Today if you copy a file to these services with an incompatible name the file will either not sync at all or it will sync using a different file name. If you use Filerr you are sure that all your files syncs exactly as expected.
